Pass It On Project was founded by Randy Racioppi — a dedicated husband, father and grandfather – who has experienced firsthand the challenges many families face during the holidays. While Randy’s kids are now grown, as a young family they experienced financial hardship, and thanks to the generosity of someone Randy’s family did not know or ever meet, they were able to celebrate a Christmas filled with warmth and joy – a gift that left a huge impact on the hearts of the entire Racioppi family.
Inspired by this kindness, Randy made a promise to the person who helped his family, that when he was able to, that he would continue to pay it forward in his honor. What began as a small effort to support local families like his, has since grown into a thriving charity. With the help of donors and volunteers, Pass It On Project provides less fortunate families on Staten Island with memorable Christmases, relieving them of all the financial burdens and stresses that comes with the holiday season.
